But despite looking almost the same, the Drobo 5D3 is obviously using an improved processor which will tremendously help the overall performance of the DAS. The 5D DAS has generally been quite successful and Drobo is again looking to emulate its success since the Drobo 5D3 DAS looks really similar to the original 5D DAS.
